Hi!
I've been asking for help with my project couple times but maybe I've asked in too complicated way... So... I'll ask simple... I have retrofitted a Sony VPL-SC50 projector and like about all commercial projectors, it has really really tiny panels. The place where I am suppose to guide light is about 6x6cm... All the light that does not enter this 6x6cm point is lost, and I am pretty 100% sure that its almost all the light... Soup ladles and some cone kind of thingies that I've tried as reflector haven't made a difference.
So... some of you know lot about optics, that I've noticed that on this forum, so please instruct me what kind of optics should I have to guide as much as possible light to the 6x6cm hole (actually there is a condenser lens at that place in the hole and a mirror at 45 degrees). The closest distance from the light source to the "point of 6x6cm" is about 10cm. I can also place some optics on that last 10cm if necessery, but I'd like if all the "new optics" would be out of the "pipe". So, in theory, what kind of optics should I have around the bulb, what distances and so on to guide as much light as possible to that 6x6cm hole in the closest distance of 10cm, preferably a longer distance...? PLEASE HELP, I AM DESPERATE 😕

Nice.... I got the beam now, and it works pretty nicely. I got it with a diaprojector optics, the same kind of setup that I had before with the 250w halogen. That bulb shattered all the lenses and reflectors and fried the whole package to coal --> so the old stuff wasnt usable anymore. I went to a big service center where they had heaps of old projectors just for spare parts, and I bought a lightengine straight out of one (20 euros). It has steel frame and the beam that comes out when the bulb is properly in its place is supposed to be totally paraller light, and the thingie seems to work pretty nicely in my setup, although I am going to get a single ended bulb with smaller "flame" to get more effiency out of the reflector. I attached image of the package, and in one of theme there is the lamp on it's place.
