I need HELP! My Overhead projector seems to be burning a hole in my panel

I'm having a problem with my overhead projector. Within 10 minutes of running my DIY projector I notice a small dark spot developing in the picture. It eventually grows into one large black spot until I remove the panel from the overhead projector and it slowly disappears. My panel is a 3M 6400 and the OHP is an Apollo 2210. (I have noticed that while OHP is running alone, it seems to make a magnifying glass effect to which I can see multiple heat spots rising up to the lens at top.) The black spot that developes on the panel seems to be a direct result from that light trail. Does anyone know how I can remedy this? Thanks in advance

Do you have any active cooling on the panel? Quiet computer case fans work pretty well if you don't. Just hook them up with a ac adapter and a switch. Alternatively you could use an ir filter near the bulb. I think they are available from the diybuildergroup store. I have no experiance with the filters, so I can't comment on their effectiveness; however it sounds like they would work well. I have a 120mm fan blowing across my lcd. It seems to work well enough.
