I'm in the same bag... I can't seem to decide on any screen. I only found a tiny list of recommended LCDs and I can't find any of them, + they are expensive.
I found a cheap lcd 15'' screen @ 200$ new (can)
but is it worth the risk of it not working for a DIY projector?
opinions?
