Had to lengthen the right-channel's speakercable...
...and in spite of that handicap, I'm surprised...nay, astonished...at how good the system sounds. After 4 hours on and 'listening to' the Monday-nite football game, I listened carefully to about a dozen of my reference discs. I heard increased spaciousness and detail--more transparency--than I did all year with those multi-thou$and$ SET vacuumtubed amps.
WOW! And probably it'll sound even better after the 2nd one--for the right-channel position--arrives. THANK YOU very much Mr. Pass!

All that multicolored, wound cable is made from Neotec UPOCC conductors in Teflon. Sonic Craft would it for me. The mostly red stuff is mostly copper plus a 23g. silver, while the blue/white/red stuff is all silver of 18-, 20-, and 22g. The really small stuff--bare copper or light-green around the outside and 2 insulated strands intertwined with the signal conductors--are my version of Audioquest's DBS system. Here's a better pic of both, attached to my old V-steen 5as.

The black 'handle' on the carpet between the amps is the battery pack containing 6 12V. batteries in series.

I was wondering that you've been on the forum for nine years and don't seem to have ever run across Zen Mod and his good humor (and exceptional contributions)...congrats on the amps!
Sent a quick blurb to my buddies late the 1st day I had the 1st J2 and included NP on the list: "Is it possible that this little 15- to 30-WPC amp is already sounding more spacious and resolving--more transparent--than the jillion-dollar, vacuumtubed, single-ended-triode amps I've had in my system this year? Even with the 37-cent speakercable extension? That's what I'm hearing tonite with four hours on it."
NP replied 'Yes it is possible'. ... 🙂
FWIW, the 2nd J2 just walked in the front door. 🙂 No more of that super-hi-quality 20g. speakercable for me. 😱

Am running only one channel per channel. SQ might be slightly better, but probably I'm deluding myself.
Will soon be paralleling the channels, internally. FWIW, the max output per chassis becomes 30 into 8 and 60 into 4 (per NP).
