Someone actually sent me a link to this auction a few days ago, i think it was leetcoder. I was gonna bid and then realized... i dont need a box filled with lenses...
Damn i read what i posted.. and i swear i didnt mean to crap on your parade.. If i had time to build a whole diy projector I would have definatly bid on it. It is a great find, you will more than likely be able to tripple your money and keep some good lenses.
Your going to have to hook my up now mike 🙂. Funny how you me and trevor (and every one else nd sent the auction too) all wanted that auction. Lets hope they are not all singlets and there are a few 3m triplets in there 😀.

Ya, I currently use a triplet for my Diy PJ, I just wanna try some others to compare, like using a double or single lens. Im in need of a condensor lens, hopefully there will be a few in there hheehe
throw distance experiments
maybe you could use of these lens to do experimentts on trying to get some throw.i have collected some small lenses but not enuff to get anywhere. i found an old video cam and took all the lens out but didnt get any where.

heya dnt32 thats what i plan on doing with some of the lenses, im more in the way of producing throw distances with condensers right now and light gain to help get a brighter picture and brighter corners with standard ohp's, the reason for standard ohp's is because once u have masterd the light with a standard ohp bulb when u upgrade to a mh whoa hehehe u got it made, im also trying to find a reason why some ohp's that have a 49000hmi bulb only have 7000lm at the bed, to me its a pathetic effort by any ohp manufacturer so im going to find a solution, i dont believe for a sec that 7000lm is all u can get out of a 49000lm bulb. The other experiments i will be conducting is a way to make a simple zoom lens for those who dont have much throw room, i will need help on this as i dont have a ohp the light gaining is quite easy without a ohp but zooming is abit diff, ill be asking cruser in the future to help me on this or maybe video freak depending on who has the time lol, i plan to make a simple kit for all in here that wont cost an arm and a leg to make their light gain to the max and having an oportunity on having a zoom feature on their ohp.
