Im very new to this, I just started looking around when ifound this, Im a Newbie, and i was wondering what would be a good set up for a first Projecter. I what I am looking to do is. Build a projecter that has fraily good resolution, and the abilty to use it for gameing, I would like to Plug the Ps3 in to it, and Im looking to do this for fairly cheap.
If you don't want to work too much give up on the DIY and try to find an Optoma/CTX ezpro 550 (not the 500 which is a good projector but it doesn't have HW deinterlacing) is an 800x600 native projector and can display (interpolated) 1024x768.
It can be found at prices between 100 (sometimes 50) and 250$ (it depends on your luck) over ebay.
If instead you want to go with a self construction
My suggestion would be to use an stripped panel from an old lcd moitor and a vga box (that will be my next step).
