The Fs is too high. Compare it to the DPL12 by adire🙂 real sealed box subs are less efficient.edit: actually, there's not much difference in the modeled response.. guess they just suck in a sealed box.. lol
SkinnyBoy said:the sealed box that pioneer sell the subs in is WAY below the size pioneer reccomends... and honestly, you can tell.. 😛
60 litres for both, and they reccomend 45 each.. 😛

Actually it's just the enclosure that Pioneer sells em in that sucks, I've built a several custom fit enclosures for a customers using these and they sound as good as any sub in their price range.
it's all in the application

I only used 16mm MDF, I know its really too thin, but I intend to brace the box (I'm short a few pieces of MDF as they wouldn't all fit on the one sheet of MDF)
alyway, I basically have two sealed 65 litre boxes from a single 1200 X 2400 sheet of MDF.
the largest area on each box that doesn't have any bracing will be 35cm X 35cm so I figured 16mm would be fine 🙂
oh yeah, and I like screws 😀 somewhere around 150 per box. lol
You have time to mark up,drill, and screw in 150 screws into a tiny box,yet you dont have the time to build a horn with 50 screws in it
strange strange person my jbl 200L box has only ~60 their only their to hold the pieces while GLUEING

what can I say... I like screwing... 😉
and theres the fact I'd have to design the horn... 😛 lol
and cut it all myself.....
so, ported it is... I can work on a horn and still be using the subs.. happy??

You dont trust my horn designs🙄
I can make them real fast now.

I can make them real fast now.
use circular saw + guideand cut it all myself.....
nah, I trust your horn designs, just I'd rather design and fold it myself, so I can say I DID IT ALLL!!!! 🙂 plus I like rear loaded horns... lol remember? 😀
your wasting the earths resources putting screws closer than 100mm apart

😡

😡

😡
How are you gona finish it they arent counter sunk.

How are you gona finish it they arent counter sunk.
I haven't countersunk the screws.. YET!!! 😛
and I have no intention of paining, etc the boxes...
and I have no intention of paining, etc the boxes...
so now you have to take out those ten thousand screws to counter sink them, then put them back in😀

I've already countersunk the 150+ screws on one box... lol 😛
Box is looking good! i would have used more bracing.
