I have a passive subwoofer need low pass filter

So I am thinking to connect 220uf capasitor it might block high and allow low frequency to pass

My subwoofer specs
Bass Enhancer, Flat Cap. 5,25 Inch Low frequency (40Hz to 160Hz) driver with Amplifier sub out/Low pass filter connection. Full Range Driver with 15W direct Car Head output. 6.5cm depth required to use in car door pad. Best for home theatre stock driver

Welcome to the forum!

I notice you have opened two threads on the same topic when you should really have opened just one.

Here's the other thread: https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/crossover-frequency.405411/

A capacitor allows high frequencies to pass while blocking low frequencies.

What you need is an inductor, which allows low frequencies to pass while blocking high frequencies.

I want to know crossover frequency what should be it for my diy two way setup.

Tweeter/satelite speaker is 4 ohms 2.5inch

Both speaker and subwoofer I am connecting in parallel
And subwoofer will be connected directly to amplifier output and speaker will have a inline capasitor, for calculating capasitor value i want to know what crossover frequency is best

What are your concerns.. take the pressure off the small driver? Don't use the sub up too high?

What limits do you face.. Is the sub already crossed? Where's the midrange resonance? What type of crossover are you planning to use so we can consider the adaptation?

Subwoofer as mentioned can work as a woofer too so i am thinking to directly connecting it to my amplifier and in parallel to it one satelite speaker with capasitor (3.3uf,22uf,10uf) they are many options available but what is best for my setup crossover design is 1st order Butterworth

What if the capasitor is in parallel with subwoofer
Good thinking, but do not do this. It will create problems for the amplifier at high frequencies.

directly connecting it to my amplifier and in parallel to it one satelite speaker with capasitor
What impedance is the sub and the satellite?

1st order Butterworth
Watch for the satellite impedance peak, it will not look like Butterworth.

What I was planning was to get one woofer connect directly to amplifier and attach a twetter in parallel with woofer and inline to tweeter one 3.3uf capasitor. But due to unavailability of woofer I had to go with subwoofer which some what acts like woofer as per the discription by seller

If you do not use an inductor in series with your sub then be careful. You might have 8 ohms in parallel with 4 ohms at some frequencies. This could be a little low in some cases.. or not.

No problem if you are simulating or measuring.
