It is fun to watch the breathing exercise in this thread.... from poo flinging to technical discussions from deep knowledge and back to the poo. Thanks everyone, this is an educational experience and quite a bit funnier than the newspaper.

Well, so long as you understand the situation. As the late Richard Heyser told me, decades ago, "If any 2 or more people hear a difference, it is real" (Name dropping again)

Nope, The late Richard Heyser was wrong in that simplistic opinion 😉

You could add that Green pens worked since two people have heard a difference after using green pens on CDs....the list is long and silly 😉

This is 100% true. 'We' (whoever that entity is) will never 'believe' without proof. That's how we mantain 'our' (professional, moral, etc...) integrity.

Its a good thing we have something like the FDA that doesnt work on the simplistic and 100% subjective opinions these guys in this thread push daily.

Lets see.....2 People used a new drug.... it cured them.

Hmmm...thats enough evidence for me!! Okay, you can sell the drug to millions.

More evidence comes back 2 other people use a placebo and they were cured.....hmmm.

More evidence comes back 10 people didnt have any change in their condition from the drug or the placebo.

But wait....2 people used the drug and it worked so according to someone named Heyser its a closed case and the drug works 😱 Good job now go out and sell, sell, sell!!!

The key here is one side is constantly "Selling" and the others side just asks daily "Please do the controlled tests"......strange world for some people good thing real products need real science 😉

Sure thing doug20, that's what 'we all' think. Your turn, reference the objective listening test which you feel meets the requirements to become an FDA standard.

No one has set the guidelines for a true standard similar to the FDA, this stuff isnt life or death for some but I think Harman has done a pretty good job with them.

Tom Nousaine has done enough of them too.

Now, you will discredit them as inaccurate, bad or whatever but the point still remains. Why don't those who just "believe" just try some controlled tests to validate even for themselves.

I would never buy something just because I thought I heard or felt something. I would look for secondary sources to validate the experience if the experience was extremely subjective.

Otherwise we are just arguing if BLUE is a better color then RED...purely subjective and inconclusive.
