Between any 2 strands showed about 1.4nF

So there may be some roll off and a little phase shift at the top, but not huge. Maybe 1/2dB and ~5 degrees I guess. But I won't be using 50' lengths. More like 12'.

Yep. PTFE definitely is a two sided coin and IMHO it's its triboelectric properties that let it down sonically.
Just my guess though.

@Magura: There's life outside the known audible range. 20/20 doesn't cut it.

Reproduced music starts sounding like that because of errors in timing.

My 2 cents on bass and phase in regards to realism. I use a bass reflex speaker which by definition lags in phase on the bassiest notes. I do not think it has much of an effect on disturbing the realism. Maybe we are more sensetive to phase around the same area that we are most sensetive to frequencies - the mid band vocal range.

Me too. They play him every wednesday around here. Got to listen today while in the car. He's probably the only religious figure I have heard speak that actually makes sense to me. I have tried keeping an open mind and listening to others but always end up wanting to argue or point out flaws in what they are saying. Sigma Drive

Was Kenwood's 80's Sigma Drive using 4 cables a form of closed loop remote sensing, and can it be easily practiced in DIY so to avoid most speaker cable controversies and promote better control in an economical way? I haven't any experience with such a Kenwood, maybe someone had and swapped cable types too?
