I can't hear the difference in filters

The realiser does so much more than crossfeed though. Headtracking, personal HRTF, ect.
Also for whatever reason when I use the various crossfeed DSP plugins for foobar it just sounds worse.

I'm afraid not, no "open-loop" technique will work correctly (such as guessing at some crossfeed function). You need to calibrate to each user and set of speakers.

As far as I know HQplayer has some of the best filters out there requiring a high end PC for processing. Using it I can't tell the difference between the best filters or no filter so I've basically resigned myself to the fact it does not matter. As I said earlier I used my scope today and saw that with no filters and a 44.1k file the music is pure delta sigma stair-case signal and I can't hear the difference.

For fun, you might want to try: INTERNET BLIND TEST: Do digital audio players sound different? (Playing 16/44.1 music.) I took it and submitted my results. Very interesting test...

We tried swapping each other's extracted HRTF's from the Realizer and the effect was lost. The calibration to the individual is essential.
