I must admit I wouldn't have thought of looking in the error log if I'm honest. I looked at it purely as an electronic problem of a non functional circuit and as such used the cursor as a DVM to highlight the problem in seconds. In my case, my electronic theory and fault finding skills are infinitely more advanced than my knowledge of LT.
(as such, I'm not so sure your renaming of the file is entirely in good taste. The problem with LT is that hard won knowledge gained by those that have used it regularly, and who have grown up with it, is often assumed... as if everyone should know that)
