Hi
Recommend Tord Gustavsen, particularly the first three albums
I saw his quartet play three weeks ago, mesmerising !

Yes, saw him at the Malthouse three weeks ago too. I was thinking of recommending him. I really liked him, but my wife............she absolutely loves his music. Many of his earlier pieces are very laidback and atmospheric which is what the original poster was looking for.
Give this a try. One of my favorite's. Let it play through this masquerade.
Gene Harris..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3u-O9z4TJk

Or for just familiar but maybe unheard fun: Dave Brubeck Dave Digs Disney

Try the 'Ulrich Drechsler' quartet. Very, very nice.
Melody Gardot as well: 'My One and Only Thrill'
Alison Moyet: The Voice

Anything by Gene Harris and Ray Brown together, but probably my favorite would have to be Summertime

If you like Melody Gardot, give Norah Jones a try. (Daughter of Ravi Shankar)

My fave female vocalist right now is Eliane Elias. A superb pianist (influenced by Bill Evans) and a subtle smoky voice. The genuine latin S American accent is endearing.
I now prefer her over Diana Krall. Her pianistic ability sure surpasses Krall any day

As good a place as any to link this:

jcd - maybe give Patricia Barber a try - more than just a lounge player, and actually quite an accomplished vocalist - although not as mainstream as the others you named

Another great female jazz vocalist is (was) Anita O'Day. Try "Anita Sings the Most" from 1957. Small group consisting of Oscar Peterson on piano, Herb Ellis on guitar, Ray Brown on bass, Milt Holland on drums.
If you like laid back jazz then you might want to give Diana Krall a listen. You might even like her newest album, Wallflower, which is her cover of some more popular tunes in a laid back jazz style.
Recommending music is always like rolling dice, but try these. They are HD 20 bit recordings.
Olivia Ong - A Girl Meets Bossanova 2
Hiroko Kokubu - Pure Heart
Olivia Ong? I have listened to her "A Love Theme"😉
When it comes to bossa nova the first singer came to my mind is Lisa Ono...
very relaxing music
I'll try your recommendation🙂
