hysteresis clipping

when pushed into clipping, this circuit has what i understand to be "hysteresis clipping" behaviour (small chunks missing from the waveform).
can this be improved?

Try a schottky diode there.
And maybe a hawksford cascode configuration.

i did try bav21 diodes, but the improvement was minimal.
i will look into the hawksford cascode configuration.

I assume you observe overdrive recovery delay from some saturated gain stage, probably the VAS
