Hi,
A very basic question about the clipping indicator described in the SMPS3k datasheet page 9.
Does this mean I can make a clipping indicator LED like this?
[V+]--------RESISTOR--------LED>|-----------[clip output pin]
Thanks,

A very basic question about the clipping indicator described in the SMPS3k datasheet page 9.
8.8 Clipping Indication
In the event of a clipping amplifier its respective pin on J16 is pulled low by means of an open
collector output. This signal may be used to drive limiter circuitry or an LED clip indicator.
Does this mean I can make a clipping indicator LED like this?
[V+]--------RESISTOR--------LED>|-----------[clip output pin]
Thanks,
/Fredde
Anyone?
It would be easy enough to just try if this works, but the rather silly problem is, I don't currently have a load big enough to push this amp into clipping. I'll probably fry the speaker winding before that.

Yes indeed, your LED connection scheme should work fine.
Since that's a voltage clipping indication, you could test it by driving the amplifier to clipping with no load attached.
Dave.
