Why do you have to be such a sceptic Pieter? 😉 Even with your own stuff. You don't like hype. I remember when Rob, Cees and I were raving about your SPDIF transformer compared to the other one we were using. You were all.....take it easy guys. I'm not sure you are hearing what you think you are hearing.

You'll never find raving reviews from customers of my stuff on my website.
I realize that there are more ways to enjoy music to the fullest than through tube equipment, and class d amplifiers can also provide that enjoyment. Right now I am listening through my Yamaha B2 VFet amp; still hard to beat by whatever tube or class AB/D amplifier.
It's just funny to see the guys here waiting since July, wetting their bed sheets in the meantime, for something that still must prove itself (is "tunnel vision" the right term?)

I don't recall anyone saying that the UCD, or NCORE for that matter is the best amplifier in the world. just read the other day about this guy who was unhappy with his dCS player, what should I make of this?

You can run the UcD400 off the same supply. Gain is the same.
