Hi,
what you suggest for +B (300-400V) for a connector(jack and plug)
I was looking at the Neutrik powercon but I don't think they are rated
beyond 250V.
I would like to house the PSU seperate from the main tube pcb.
Is there any issue with running seperate DC heater as well?
Is 2 feet too long for the HV power cable?
Thx

Hi!
I use Amphenol MS series connectors. They are available with various numbers of pins.
I routinely use external PSUs. No probelm to also have the DC heater supply external. I always keep the last LC stage for each voltage in the amp chassis. Even long umbilical runs are no problem this way
Best regards
Thomas

Do you use 2 or 3 conductor, shield?
I guess for H.V. it is better to use Teflon twister pair?
Excellent advise. Thanks.

You can also consider an octal plug on the umbilical, plugging into
a female socket on the chassis.

Hi!
Depending on the number of voltages I have, I use 5, 7 or up to 10 pin connectors.
Minimum is 5:
B+
Ground
2 wires for heater
safety earth
I use umbilicals with a common shield around all conductors. I connect the shield on the PSU side to saftey ground.
Best regards
