I found this schematic in the internet 2KW amp!!!
Schematic comes from Polish paper, not sure which one.

The schematic is from Elektor Electronics they phublis under many different names and in many countries.
i think you will find more webreferenses to that amp under the name "titan 2000"

Hi, martioz
At first look, this is the Titan (Gigant) from Elector.
I build it 2 years ago.
It has indeed the power of 2KW into 4ohm in bridge mode.
It give you 300W into 8ohm, 500W into 4ohm and 800W into 2ohm.
If you ask me, a very nice amp.
/Hugo - is building an AlephX and hopes it will be even better!
🙂
Re: Re: Hungry of power? check this out
and bridge them 2 and 2, for to get a stereo pair.
And use 4 ohms loudspeakers. (or two 8 ohms in parallell)
If you then use sensitive (PA-)speakers with 100 dB SPL,
then you can be your own BASS-DJ. 😀 😎 😎
But only as normal un-bridged and with one pair of
8 ohms Loudspeakers 90dB SPL, you will get a very nice sound-system.
Well, if you have well built speakers with very good drivers, that is.

So you need to build 4 of themNetlist said:Hi, martioz

Re: Re: Re: Hungry of power? check this out
It's a current feedback amp, IMO very good for the sound.
If we could turn it into an X we had the High Power Current Feedback SuperSymmetry (tm) or something similar... But not with OpAmp's...😎
/Hugo - Likes discrete better 😉

I have the full article in some (big) pdf files. If anybody is interested, I could mail them. 7,78 MB (!) in total.

Hi,
Still not enough power?
Check this out.

These guys have an incredible collection of the most amazing schematics.
We will see Halo’s little collection growing soon. 😉 😉
Too bad I don't understand one word of it...and the site is very slow.
The 20KW amp is just incredible. Where to find a power supply for that? We can't ask the builder because his site is down for the moment.: http://homepages.picknowl.com.au/glenk/
/Hugo - has enough with his 2KW.

I think we can count out Glen's amp. It never left the computer. I have seen the schematics, not few parts....

The site isn't down at the moment. It's not there, long time since it were.

I was at "Steve's place" and looked around.
There is 3 mirrors, but noone has english pages.
Someone said it is in polish, but it is in russian, what I can see.
(.ru - is Russia)
There is a FAST mirror, but it is not completely ready yet.
(.sk - I do not know that one)
The basic site .ua is very slow. (.ua - probably Ukraina - KIEV is mentioned)
I was nearly putting a shortcut.URL into my collection.
Because there is a lot of good stuff there.
Pity it is not in english!
He has also VIDEO, RADIO and DATAsheets and some other interesting things.
Also a Forum - but in Russian.
maybe we can use peranders recommended translation service ??
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Ukraina Basic Site .ua - Index Page:
schematic.info : Steve's Electronics Center
The very much FASTER .sk - mirror The Audio Page:
schematic.info : Audio : Amplifiers
/halo's PC-based Personal Software Server is lightning fast
- compared to the Ukraina Website 🙂
- and yet I use several security functions - which slows it down a bit
Guys,
Unless you have a PA rig, what possible use could you have for a 2kW amp? Incredibly inefficient subs?
Just curious.

The Titan is capable of delivering 2KW.
But that's in bridge mode and 2ohm!!
I use the stereo version with a couple of 92db speakers (8ohm),
so it can give me 300W/ch.
That's more than enough for daily use.
Besides that there was the challenge to build it...
/Hugo – Listening to his old 5W radio now 😉

Well, Peranders, you have answered my first question.
Brett, to answer yours, I'm starting to do the mental calculations for a 20KW DC-DC converter from 12 volts. I have also started collecting some of the parts.. ..just got my hands on nine really big DC-DC cores 🙂 I don't know if it'll ever get built however. The 20KW amp would be a good load to test with.
Anyway, Why... ...I work with a local car audio company who builds SPL cars for fun... ...so I'm thinking 20KW amp would be neat.
-Dan
Yes. If you for instance use linkwitz transform to equalize your sub, then you will need a high power amp to cope with the lowest frequencies.Brett said:Guys,

Just curious.
Power is needed to support the equalization but to make matters worse, loudspeaker sensitivity falls at lower frequencies. If the woofer you have aren't efficient from the beginning you will need quite a lot of power.
