I don't think we have a thread for humour that is not engineering humour, so that's the reason for the subject line.

Anyway, a friend recently pointed me to a very funny video that many of you have probably already seen. Please note that I do not post this with any intention whatsoever of ridiculing germans. I have talked to germans who themslelves thought this was extremely funny. (I do know it is originally a TV commercial, but don't know its origin, although I have a suspicion it was actually shown on german TV).

OK. Do you know where it was shown on TV? Was it in Germany or...?

The video appears all over the internet, often with the comment that is is a TV commercial, but nowhere have I found any info on where it was shown.
