Hi all..
Brett from Victoria BC, Canada, here.
Long time car and electronics geek.. used to be a warranty repair tech for mobile and home audio.. then figured out that that's the way to die poor, so went into a different industry 😀
Ive slacked on my installs for years n years.. and as a result have lots of gear lyin around in boxes and closets.. and nothing in any of my mulitple cars.. figured it was time to get back into it..
Look forward to pillaging this place for info.. and hopefully giving back some.

Hey Brett,
Welcome to the forum.
Wonder if we have run into each other before?
You know about the local diyFEST?

Havent done much in electronics in a number of years unfortunately.. I started out as counter guy (kid) and trained on the job at Hytek Electronics, above A&B .. from about '91 to 2001 .. so if you were ever in there.. theres a good chance we crossed paths.. though I was doin Camosun College for a couple years in there too..
Wasnt aware of the diy-fest.. i'll keep it in mind as August rolls around.. thanks..

Yes the top 4 lines were all Celicas. All long gone now. Only Dad still has his Echo.

My roommate has an '85 Toyota Supra... which is SORTA like a Celica
A lot like one. Add two cylinders, an extra cam, lengthen the nose, slap on those wheel well extenders, some aluminum wheels, the spoilers and voila...Supra!
Until the 1986.5 model that is, then they parted company.
Hi,
I have an '89 Subaru Justy, which is actually a Japanese Lamborgini. It normally requires an expert to tell them apart.
With 470,000 miles on it, the ability for the Justy to still reach 189 mph is just about impossible, unless I'm going down the hill from Dave's place.
😱
BTW: Welcome to the forum!!!!!
Best Regards,
TerryO

Ah, you're aware then! His is actually a 1986, but I generally refer to it as an '85 to avoid confusion with the next gen '86.5
