HQ Preamp - Elector scheme or other suggestion

I would like to build high quality preamplifier.

What I had in mind is, it should assume the following:

- battery power supply
- input switching with bipolar relays
- volume control with BB PGA2310
- schematics have to be verified, I would not experiment too much...

I have found something interesting, through the source I do believe in.
Project is published in Elector 1/97 (edition in English).
battery-operated pre-amplifier Desigh by T.Giesberts

Is it OK if I publish the schematics here?

I would use basic scheme and modify volume and selector parts...

I would very much like to get your opinion on this project before I start building.

Other suggestions (projects, schematics..) are also very welcome.

Preamp will be paired with Leach Amp.

Thank you.

Lots of choices out there. how about http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/analog-line-level/167033-preamplifier-dispre-2-jfet.html ?

If you're looking to use the PGA2310 because you plan a remote control, why not use it to control a LDR based attenuator? That should sound better.

If you don't need gain, search this forum for "poor Serbian man LDR based..." Attenuator and buffer or a Pass B-1 clone, you just add the input selection.

Thank you for suggestions.
I need gain stage.

I would for this very preamp avoid LDR for two reasons:
- I already have a bunch od PGA waiting to be used, and I really like technical characteristics of those cheaps...
- I doubt that I would have to buy very large number of LDRs to match few perfectly, and again, I would add some difference by different light characteristics of LEDs...
