HPI 400 W = damn hot

Hi all,

I've just got me a 400 W HPI lamp and gave it a testrun. It seems that this thing get's damn hot. I wonder I've this is some much better than a plain halogen lamp? I plan to put this inside a plain overhad projector, but I'm still a bit worried about the heat: do you guys think this can done wihtou causing any harm?

No, it's not, it's actually a Philips lamp.
