No it won't work. The HP microphone uses a 200V regulated low noise supply. There is a specific pinout for the cable as well. The preamp in the supply is the most linear preamp for a measuring mike I have tried but it was all discontinued in the 1970's.
I have the docs you need and I'll scan them for you. If I slip remind me with a PM.
Does it have the original capsule?

Here is a link good for a few days for the scan I just made https://www.hightail.com/download/ZUczZXR5Z2dYSHkwYjhUQw
The schematic is below.

I have been meaning to make one as well. One of these modules Pico Electronics: SERIES SA for 200V would do the job. Approx $100.
http://www.emcohighvoltage.com/pdfs/gseries.pdf can't find pricing.
Or this: Invalid Request which is this: http://www.onsemi.com/pub_link/Collateral/DN05091-D.PDF . The board is $100. parts cost is probably less than 10. Time to build: hours of effort chasing the parts then 1 hour to assemble and test.
Or really figure it out: http://cds.linear.com/docs/en/application-note/an118fa.pdf maybe the best way.
And probably the cheapest way: 200v REGULATED DC-DC Converter
