How can you make a high quality High level (speaker terminal) to low level (RCA) converter?

Is this for a car?
If so, Radio Shack has a unit for cars that does exactly that. At least they did when I last looked a couple of years ago.
I imagine that you could also do something simple with a couple of resistors in a voltage divider network, but I've never done it.

Brad, a standard item for car audio is a transformer coupled balanced in/unbalanced out and attenuator inline box.
My wholesale price is around AUS$ 10.00 or so.
This box is handy also for running speaker level to another room in the house, and coupling into a local amplifier.
This is required for Dc isolation to avoid hum loops and sounds just fine.
Eric.
