Howdy, I just registered. My name is Mike and I am 20 residing in Melbourne, Australia. I just started Uni doing Elecrtical Engineering.
For now I am just browsing and learning but I hope to build a few power amps and a tube preamp!!!
In the long term I wouldn't mind making my own CD player, but for that... that's dreaming 🙂

Is that the kind where it goes bang without any warning?
Valve preamplifiers are harder to get right (need more test gear), but cheaper to build than power amplifiers. I think that spells out your choices as a student...
