Ok guys,
I'm building an OHP LCD Projector. I've done the research and I'm ready to make the plunge. Here is what I'm going to war with:
(please make suggestions or comments on the products, they will be very welcomed)
*Sharp QA 2500- I've heard that this is one of the very best there is. 1024x768 with 16.7 Million Colors and 10.4" screen is the kind of resolution that would make those XBOX games jump out! I really don't want to go any lower than these specs because I know that they give the best results (Am I being too meticulous about that?).
The only other thing is that this particular Sharp does not have the remote included. Will this thing still work and serve my purposes without it?
*Now the OHP is where I'm having a problem I've narrowed down two options...... a DUKANE 663 OVERHEAD for $33.00 but it's only 3000 Lumens and it does'nt come with lamps so I would have to buy one but the price is really cheap. 3000 lumens seems like it will be low for my room and it will have to be pitch black dark. I don't mind it being dark but it could complicate things with my normal living...........
OR
I could spend $189+S&H for a Dukane SunSplash 4000 Lumen OHP Singlet
OR
The Dukane SunSplash 4000 Lumen doublet for $219.00+S&H, there is also a triplet for $269+S&H but I don't really want to spend that much. Both of the Dukane Sunsplash Models are brand new and built to order!
So what do you guys think about this setup? Am I going too expensive? Do you have a cheaper setup suggestion that would yield the same or comparable results? Any advice, tips or insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Excellent choice if you can afford it for the QA-2500, you don't need the remote to operate I don't think, I don't need it with my QA-1650... As for the overhead, I think if you were willing to spend that kind of cash, I would buy a decent overhead with no bulb and then retrofit it with an HQI Metal Halide.. more expensive now, but the bulbs last for 10,000 hours, so you wouldn't have to replace them every 100 hours like you would a normal overhead..
