It's true one has to be careful when assembling IKEA furniture, otherwise it's easy to break out the inserts, or chip a corner. But once assembled, preferably while adding wood glue (unless you want to be able to disassemble), things become pretty sturdy. I have several IKEA cabinets and an ALEX that survived moves.
