I just received all the stuff I need to make my first DIY projector. I'm using the ol' starting OHP method. What would you all suggest to use to separate the LCD from the OHP's surface?
plastic or wood spacers maybe? my lcd was still in metal frame and had about a 5mm rim which keeps it off the OHP, as long as theres enough airflow top and bottom of the LCD, hope this helps, cheers 🙂
I had an OHP setup for a little while, I got a piece of Lexan from Home Depot and screwed it to two 1/2" aluminum channels from the same store. Then used clear packing tape to fasten the LCD to the plastic, and a lightmask cut from black foamcore board.
But that was a temporary setup.
