A personal question which might be a useful "how to"
I've been adding to a thread in "Parts" which really now belongs in "Analog Line Level" as it's translated from "where can I find X to fix my pre-amp" to a general discussion on the pre-amp in question.
So, how does one request the Mods to either move or split a thread?
( I did see one post in 2009 here asking for same, hence posting here)

Use the report button to bring a post etc to the moderation teams attention and say what you want actioning.
If you want that thread splitting at your post (#21) and putting in the line level forum then just think of a title and we can move it.

The Report page still tells me it should only be used for offensive behavior. I think the forum would be more organized and concise if this use for the report button (thread move/split/merge requests) was made explicit; then forum members could make most of the organizational decisions so mods don't have to make those calls if they don't want to. Alternatively, there could be a forum or thread for these requests, so there would be a record created by the requests with no effort on the mods' part.
We'll be updating the forum software soon and if the new software doesn't take care of it, we can review it after it's installed.
User CP at the top, goto subscribed threads and put a tick against the ones you want to unsubscribe from. Then scroll down and select "delete" from the drop down menu.
