Good morning, I have in my possession a couple of midrange from the massive PK6S, but when looking for these parameters they are not in the box, any suggestions to make a sealed type acoustic box.
You can measure them yourself, but probably just any box that fits round the driver plus some stuffing will be fine. Vas is very small on midranges.
Hi,
Several solutions for a start :
- meaure the volume cabiet and amount of stuffing of the former chamber to have an idea. Then you can a little play with the amount of stuffing than can virtually enlarge the volume of the box till 20% the theory says (and of course reduce it if the former was stuffed. If this chamber is vented , then measure the diameter and length of the bass reflex port. 90% chance it is sealed if a medium unit.
- ask someone in your area to measure them for you
- buy a Dayton V3 measure set or likes if you feel it will become your daily hobby with many peakers to measure
- make a cheap Arta box with few resistors and caps : less than 15 bucks in a chocolate plastic box. The soft is a shareware and you can measure with a soundcard the T&S as caps, coils, impedance of circuitries, drivers .
- ask here if somene is knowing the driver if Google alredy didn't answer to that .

on which I can rely to get some measure of the volume in cubic feet, perhaps with a margin of error some idea. I do not have experience
Hmm, according to the manual it's a 6.5" shallow mount for mobile audio, though listed as 'prosound', so based on an ancient nomogram that's based on drivers with larger Vas, 0.3 ft^3/8.5 L, very close to my 8.67 L 'worst case' guesstimate from looking up a few current 6.5" mobile audio drivers with specs.

then it would be advisable to test a sealed-type drawer with a volume of approximately 0.3 cubic feet, and put it to the test and rate its performance.
It's what I've done and FWIW I just made them out of heavy duty corrugated cardboard boxes cut up and taped as required.

The legs of your table have to be cut exactly long enough to reach the floor.
There is no T/S if there is no enclosure (at least no enclosure with any influence in the passband). And you sure don't want a mid-range to be mounted with any influence. Duh.
