To be honest i dont think it will be easy

You will most likely need a controler board which will be expensive and hard to find unless your camera had video input which some do

And can you take the backlight off the lcd? if you cant then theres not much point in even trying for a projector out of it

i can take the backlight off, but how do i get the input into a camera which didnt have input(besides what the camera saw) im willing to take a risk and solder or whatever it takes, cuz the camera was useless anywyas (even thought it was $1200 when it came out) also, another question, is it possible to just swap the controller board?, easily? with one that has a good input?

here is a pic of how the lcd is connected

1. Most of the LCD screens on cameas aren't that high resolution. If you get 320X240 resolution out of the LCD, I'd consider that very lucky.

2. Most of these screens have a poor contrast ratio. This may be problematic whatn rigging up the light source.

3. Most of these screens have very slow response times, as it simply isn't necessary to have a fast response time to display the still picture, or menu. Most digital cameras that I've seen get very blurry when you're panning towards the subject area. This is likely to manifest on the projected image.

4. The controller board is certain to be proprietary. It may be possible to contact the LCD manufacturer (Which is probably not the camera manufacturer) and get specifications for a controller circuit. Fortunately, you already have it out, so you may be able to locate a manufacturer and a part number.

If you can deal with the shortcomings of the LCD, and can locate a driver circuit, I'm sure that you could do it. I'm more certain, however, that you'd be better off buying a cheap 7" LCD TV and modifying that.... It will all come down to the cost of a controller for the LCD.

thanks

thanks, make's sense. but a couple of questions:
1. if i got a good bargain, how much would a 7incher cost, estimate
2. i didnt want to run a overhead projector in my room, i wanted a form factor of projector like a slide projector
3. i know ppl have made projector boes with lens and mirrors, but it kinda seems out of my budget and expertiese. even if i did want to do this i would need to figure out cooling, lighting and all that. which leads to Q 4
4. about the lifhr bulb, how strong will it need to be and how long does it last, i dont wannna use something that drains power and gets really how

thanks
