I want to split my guitar signal but a passive Y cable won't cut it.
Any directions on how can I make a buffered one?

Interesting. What if the very last pedal in my chain is true bypass, does having a buffered bypass before it work as well?
true bypass so yes buffer from previous pedal still active.
Guitar pickup is passive so only likely place where Y cable would be issue.
Once over to active devices
Single Y cable not to much of a issue.
Since there will be numerous active buffers in bypass, and of course when
pedals are on as well.
If the whole effect chain is going to 2 amps.
Could also be easier to use effect loop out from main head.
To amplifier in of second amp.
This would bypass second amp pre amp and just use as power amp.
So overall EQ from main pre would be applied to both amps.
