I have a old Cambridge audio a5 that I got second hand a few years back. I recently decided to "upgrade" it by getting this kit to install in it Remote ALPS motor Volume control preamplifier board + Standby board | eBay
However the lack of instructions and general inexperience has left me stuck. If anyone has any input on how to go about installing this it would be much appreciated!

Based on your lack of knowledge -
Build the remote kit in its own box.
Connect your sources to this.
Connect the preamp output to one of the Cambridge inputs.
Turn the Cambridge volume high & leave.
Use the remote kit to select source & volume.
That way you keep the Cambridge original therefore still working.
Also, your preamplifier can be used with any amplifier in future.
