Hi
I read some old message that teach how to install a phase switch for cd player.
It talk about the INV pin on the dac, what is the inv pin stand for and how to find the 0v and 5v.

Hi Jim,
INV pin means the switched pin to activate the inverted phase mode of the DAC. At some older DAC ICs this was realized to use this DACs in full symmetrical applications. Check the datasheet of your DAC if this pin is available and how to switch. 0V and 5V would be like ground and V_supply – but check datasheet.
Most newer DACs have no more INV mode, therefore they frequently have symmetrical outputs. Here one Inv-relay can solve the issue. I realized one INV-relay at my Aleph P1.7 preamp, so each signal source can be inverted.

Klaus

cd phase switch again
Hi Klaus,
Thanks for the reply,is it ok to draw out a full circuit how to use a relay to made a phase switch.
Thanks
