Hi All,
I have searched for threads about how to identify (without a doubt) CDM 0 and CMD 1 transports apart.
So far I have only come up with even more questions about it, even if there is a sure way to tell them apart...
So, is there a no brainer method to do so?
Thanks in advance!
Hugo

I would say, this constitutes the nobrainer method of identifying them with 4 pictures..........
(information that can be obtained by using the searchfunction....)

Thanks! 🙂
You almost hit the spot... The spindle motor on CDM 0 is the brushless one and on the CDM1 is the hall one, right?

Would it be safe to assume that only CDM1 has the hall motor?
And CDM1 is better than CDM0?
Thanks

Forget about finding new CDM0. Most CD100 with weak lasers have had replacements and stock was low anyhow. It was too expensive to produce as well.
TDA1540, I had a CDM0 sent to me a few years back that had a totally different faceplate. Apparently there were some versions as with CDM4 etc. I would not know as I skipped CDM0, at that time cdplayers were simply too expensive for me.

Are you sure it is the laser ? There are many known problems with bad soldering joints. If you need, I have CDM0 from CD303.
