How to get rid of old TAS, Stereophiles, etc...

I got boxes of old ( mid 80s to Y2K+) Stereophiles, TAS, TPV and SGTHT.

And after years of looking at those boxes taking space that could be use better, ie: MORE audio stuff, I figure it's time to get rid of that. I will never read them again. (*) so time to give them the heave ho.

But they are in very good shape. I doubt the library will take them and I've seen them sold on eBay, Craigslist. But it's a PITA because I got other things to do with my life.

It's doubtful The Salvation Army, et. al... will take them.

And, I'd hate to put them in the recycle.

Any ideas? I'm not in for the money, OK, if you give me a nice F5 Turbo V5 and a Marantz 4140, I might... ;-)

(*) Like everything else, I know once I get rid of them, then I'll want to read them. 😛

Ebay will reach the most people, by far.

But if you live in or near a major city, try a local ad first, like Craigslist,
so you won't have to box them up. Also check if there's an audio club in your area.

Well, I'm in SoCal so I know there's lots of audiophiles and clubs around me.

But, I haven't joined any of them. Audiophiles are so opinionated, you know? ;-)

Thanks for the ideas. I thought about Craigslist too. I've sold/bought a few things on that.

If it's free, someone will take it and sell it, if nothing else.
Maybe start with " X years of TAS mag" and arrange to leave on porch for pickup.
Then repeat with each of the others, one at a time.

Some one in Ventura County is giving away TAS and Stereophile... but he gave his landphone and home address, so that has to be an old guy.

He also is selling a bunch of old stuff, so I have no idea.

If anyone is interested in old TAS, Stereophile, The Perfect Vision, SGHT... just PM me. I'm sitting on a bunch, going back to the mid 80s for the audio magazines. I can't find issue 1 of TPV, but I'm sure Issue 2 is somewhere in one of the boxes.

Seems like nobody wants paper and I can't justify the space. I need room for more audio stuff.

I think I'll save the ones with Enid Lumley and the ones where Anthony Cordesman dissed my mini monitors ( Who Stole The Bass ?, "Two fine drivers looking for a cabinet" )...

I have been served this on old sheets of Reader's Digest, quite the right size for it.
