I've breadboarded this shunt regulator. I want to use it to power an active crossover that needs 60mA per channel. So far it works fine to deliver 20mA, but when I use it for higher currents it doesn't work. I'm obviously pretty clueless about how regulators work, so can anyone tell me exactly what I need to do to increase its current capability?

When you say "it doesn't work", what does it do? I think your 2k7 resistor is too high to deliver 60mA. Try 1k and see if it works. (If your problem is the TL431 and associated network, then I can't help because I don't know the device.)
Agree. There's about 130V spare across that 2.7k. 60 mA takes away all of it and more. Ohms law. Lower it to 1k as suggested. Hopefully your transgformer & rectifier & filter can accomodate the (2 x) 60mA, if they drop then your 1k is still too high.
