How to fix these?

I have this speaker that stopped working and put my Yamaha into protect mode . I took it apart once but couldn’t find a x over or anything??? It seems a cord got loose and i attached it to the wrong spot .

Is that a speaker part of a portable boombox type system? If so it might be okay just not expensive so ask a friend to help. Do not try again if you plugged it into the wrong spot already or you key permanently damage the rest of your equipment.

Yep you were right I found the issue. The wires were all stuck together somehow.

It works on my insignia stereo fine haven’t tried it on any more expensive ones.

There are stray wirestrands everywhere. Depending on how you flip the speaker they might short or not. I hope this is not your final fix!?
The 'x-over' is probably a cap glued to the tweeter.

The dodgy wiring through the cabinet needs to be fixed. At least have the twisted and taped part either inside the cabinet fully, or outside, not attempting to stuff two pieces of different cable through the hole 🙂 It's currently creating a short circuit, and you are lucky you have an amp with protect mode.

There is likely nothing wrong with the drivers.

Those are pics before it was fixed . This bottom driver the sub? Unusual design ?
