I recently acquired a Primare CDP and apparently the crystal chip is of the rectangular shaped 4 legged type.
How would I fit this crystal into the Kwak Clock ?
regards,
Will.

Hello Will,
Do not fit that four legged thingie into the KWAK-CLOCK!
The four legged part is NOT a crystal but a complete crystal-oscillator.
If you provide the partnumber and frequency of the oscillator I may help you better in connecting the KC. Please note you will need a new crystal if you want to build the KWAK-CLOCK for this player.
Hi Elso,
The oscillator is a standard 16.9344 MHz, not sure bout the part number tho.
Ok, so I would need a new crystal with the same freq of 16.9344 MHz (2 legged ones), and once fitted into the KC module, the output of KC will be re-inserted back to one of the inputs of the CDP's PCB.
Have I got it right ?

will.
