NEC Multisync 1560V+ disassembles nearly the same.
Whew. I have to admit I was nervous tearing into this monitor. No. Perhaps cautious would be a better word. There's something very satisfying about voiding a warranty. The 1560V+ came apart almost exactly as the 1545V save one thing. There was no vertical PCB to worry about. Only three small tabs along the side. Thank you Cruser for such detailed instructions. Without it I would have been far more confused.

Does this mean that there are no ffc issues with the 1560v monitor? They are so easy to find at a good price, but i never knew they could work for DIY projection. How did it work out for you? Is it a strip and go monitor or do you have to extend any cables? Thanks a lot.
it was easy to dismantle...
Unfortunately... I killed it.
I'm not sure what I did to it. I suspect it was static.
I ended up using a sharp projection panel. Much less likely to die in the middle of construction.

I dismanteled mine and I was fine. It it definately more durable than the CMV1512. The flex cables are a bit week thoguh so try not to move them around unle4ss you must. Mine ended up being so loose that I would have to set a weight ontop to make sure the connection would be good.
Other than that, it was a sinch. Don't worry about it.
I think that it is mostly luck though, people mess them up and they do nothing different than what I did.
Its what us DIYers have to risk 😉
