I am wonder if any of you have any idea on lead free parts?
I noiced the power fets are now lead compliant and I figure the leads would also be tinned lead free. Yes/no?
Does that mean I would need to use lead free solder?
I really am not sure so please let me know if you think I am on the right track.
Here is a link to the part. When I tested the parts last night it looks like the legs are tinned.

Hi Ian,
There is no need to use special solder. The RoHS parts are still copper leads with some sort of plating or dipped metal coating - tin or whatever. I've used them and had no problems with ordinary solder. I can't ship my DIY projects to Europe to sell - but they wouldn't want to buy them anyway! Have at it. To heck with RoHS.
