This is what's happening at the moment in the amp:
The 0V reserviors are connected to the the input ground, output gnd, Basically this is the star connection on one channel of amp. The other channel is identical. The two star nodes are then connected to the the Earth/chasis.
I'll have this fix-up soon and let u know the result.

Shielding Transformers?
I finally found the cause to the noise and hum. The toroidal was too close to the circuitry. I found this out after pulling the thing apart yesterday.
I rather like the case, so I'll try shielding the Trans, with something metallic. A friend suggested steel cans, (paint cans).
Should this be sufficient sheilding, has anyone done similar thing and can give me some feedback.
