Hi... Im new in this forum and noob in audio world. Recently my father gave me his classic home amplifier made by Rotel(brand from Taiwan i think). This amplifier have 4 outputs speaker(there is 4 positive and 4 negative connector) but there stated at the rear of the amplifier Speaker A and Speaker B(2 speakers? So confuse). currently i connect 4 cheap speakers just to test the amplfier. I also got a 8inch subwoofer but i dont know where to connect it on the amplifier since there is no connector for subwoofer.
My question is how do i connect those 4 speakers and the subwoofer and make it work correctly?

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
What model is the Rotel?
These home amplifiers can often have 4 speakers attached but may not be able to drive all of them at the same time. And if the amp doesn't have a sub out then you can't attach one.

You can run all four speakers at the same time if you select 'speaker A + speaker B'.
In this configuration, all four speaker must have an impedance of 8 ohm or more to avoid damaging the amplifier.
If you want to choose between two pairs of speakers, then select 'speaker A or speaker B'. In this configuration the minimum impedance of each speaker can be 4 ohm.
If your 8" subwoofer is passive (no built in amplifier), then you can't connect it to the Rotel.
