My midrange stopped working, I suspect it might be the resistor. Does anyone know how to check / replace the resistor?

Moved to the multi-way forum as the Watt/Puppy combo is multi-way.
If only one speaker is affected, swap the resistors between channels.
If the problem switches speakers, the resistor is bad.
You could also check the resistors with a quality DVM, if a friend
has one you can use. The resistance of each should be 0.63 ohms.
The bad one will likely be open circuit.

Check the bare drive unit for dc resistance and functionality by driving it with an amp, after it proved close to specs. The multimeter, whatever the quality range, should first be checked for whatever dcr its wires/probes may add to the measurement and be subtracted from the value with resistor in the circuit.
As noted in post#3 the midrange resistor will be the one displaying a 0.63 ohms value ( seen here on the right in my flipped pic ).

PS; the simplest way to see if it's the driver or the resistor is to replace that resistor with a small piece of wire ( a portion of a wire paper clip will suffice ).

I have a Watt Puppy 7 with either a blown tweeter or resistor. I want to check the resistor and have removed all the screws on what is supposed to be the cover/access panel but nothing I do can get that cover off or even get it to move. Is that glued in or is there some sort of trick to removing it?

Hello - Did you find out how to remove the panel? I need to get in to my WP6's.
I take the screws out and it seems like I am missing something.
With my units the panel had become stuck to the main housing, almost as if it were glued on. I used a flat edged screwdriver and quite a bit of force to break it loose. That chipped a bit of the finish but obviously it isn't visible but still not desirable but I couldn't figure out a better way of doing it.
you just screw a bolt with bigger thiker threads in one hole of the cover (just on the cover )and then you pull it out .!
