i am using EAGLE 5.6
in the "Board Editor", when i try to make pdf file from a layout (from menu-> File > Print... > PDF...) it all seems ok ....
but
the exported pdf file's resolution is not more than 150-200
i tried it with different GRIDS and still getting the same results
any comment on how can i get a pdf file with 600 or maybe 1200 dpi?
thx already

I've never got on with the Print to PDF function, I use the CAM processor to output EPS files, then I can import and arrange them as required in Photoshop.
Just a quick thought - if you look under the Export/Image menu, it has a dpi option, that might change the PDF printing as well. Never tried it though. 😉

yes i can have my board exported to images, with any dpi i want
but
increasing the dpi in export menu, will also increase the image's dimensions as well
but i never worked with CAM, maybe its time to get to use it, thx for ur helpful reply anyways "pinkmouse" 🙂

Just do the cam thing, start by running the drlconfig ULP then do the cam jobs.
First run an exelon output, then do the traces etc with Gerber RS274. What you end up with is Gerber files, the same stuff you'd send to a factory.
Then download GC-prevue. Run GC, open a new file, and use the import function, browse to your files and import. then you can print to your heart's desire, I have adobe installed so I can use the Adobe Pdf printer driver, which basicaly "prints" to a PDF file with whatever resolution you want.

Use RS-274 X format and excellon II:

Both have embedded data, appertures for the RS-274x and drill table for the Excellon II.
