Hi, I need help , to build Amp, I have 2 ols stereo Kenwood which is broken, cd players is not working rest is fine and other is sony ,, its cracked , So i want to build a amp to run my 2 pioneer 8" sub hoofers and 8 sony 2w 4ohms speakers.. so how can i do it , i really want to build my own and i am trying from 3 weeks but cant get it done 🙁 ,so plz need help thank you...

I poured water onto my control unit and I believe I snapped the capacitors. I removed three of them and I am currently looking to replace them.I have a MTX 9200.1 and it has 1800uf 160v caps. How do I test to see if that's all that's wrong?

If you know how to use a Volt/OHM/Amp meter and have a good one in your posession
You should start by checking all of the output transistors for shorts.
It is very unlikely that blown up caps are the only problem.

How many minutes of high volume are you expecting the voicecoils to remain not on fire in this arrangement?
TO USMCGRUNT0331 If you would truly like to build an Amp It will cost you much more
than just to go out and buy one.
If it is your first amp to attempt it would be easier if you would settle for building an amp that would drive a two ohm stereo (or 4 ohm mono) load.You will find more people that can help you if you go with a Class AB amplifier .In a class AB amp the power supply voltages are much easier to deal with usually you have a + voltage and a -negative voltage the + drives the speaker out and the - pulls it in .It can be made to drive 1 OHM mono which is the same on the amp as .5 ohms stereo.
If you will let me know what level of electronics knowledge you have and you are serious I will guide you the right direction .You will most likely burn up several before you get it right.

Cost do build your own
It may cost more from from a production standpoint, but I am sure that I get much better results using breadboard/peg board and straight wiring techniques. That is not very easy to do in production lines. Circuit boards are mostly for costs and ease of assembly.
