how to adjust midrange frequency in open show

ROTFLMAO! 😀 Been a tough week, thanks for that!

Baldor: you must give us full details of the 'audio system' and the new mid range driver before any chance of a pertinent response, otherwise the mid range is from ~250-2 kHz and if including the high mids, then ~250-6 kHz.

sorry for the delay, but could not find the electrical data sheet.

Hello good evening, you can see the frequency response of the mid-range system, I would like to know what is the appropriate frequency, currently I have it at 200 hz, but my question is what is the appropriate frequency.

Look baldor.. We're no psychic here (at last I don't think so 😉 .. I surly am not one).

You still haven't giving us any real info. That frequency response spec is just two numbers. They are in general not very helpful. it's even not only from the midwoofer, but for the combination with the tweeter.

Even if you now have some frequency.. then what? You cannot make a filter because too little is known about the impedance. And it will probably not be enough either, since if that woofer you posted is indeed what you have, it will most likely be far to sensitive to play with your current speaker (even if the spec is probably a lie)

And we don't even know about the rest of the system either.. You added a midrange to what exactly?

Not giving proper information when asked about it doesn't really invite people to actually chip in and try to help. You'll really have to give us some more if you actually want to get some proper answers. The worst that can happen is that you'll be a much wiser man afterwards 🙂

Greets!

+/- 3 dB @ 78 Hz leaves a lot to be desired when trying to protect a driver and know nothing about the woofer it's coupled to or what XO point/slope you're using, how hard are you going to drive it, etc..

If 'open show' means just mounted to a baffle [OB] in a room, then based on an octave for every slope order with 1st = 4 octaves = 2^3*78 = 624 Hz, 2nd = 2^2*78 = 312 Hz, 4th = 2*78 = 156 Hz and if the baffle step falls below the XO's slope order, then use the next higher one.
