So I made a chip amp with a simple pot for volume control as well as a 3 position rotary switch for 3 inputs, though I would like to add an output.
How do I successfully add a RCA output to this without loosing quality? I want another output for the addition of another amplifier. I don't care if it is controlled by the volume or not.
Any help would be great, as I don't have the funds to invest in a preamp.

It's as simple as probably the very first way you thought of. Just parallel 'em and drill 4 holes instead of two.

Nothing exists in isolation if you bother to ponder about it.That's the
reality of this universe as you percieve it.Without going into science
or esoteric knowledge,common sense says you simply parallel the
existing output but if you find it objectionable for the percieved
drop in quality then you are obliged to find out why and not simply
ask from god or someone else.Of course the usual thing is to buffer
the output so impedance does not matter much but if you still find
it objectional hey welcome to the real world.Hope this does not

Sorry, I got a mixup between inputs and outputs.The output of a chip amp
is already optimised by the designer so one has to take as is because it
is already large signal( amplified) and low impedance so it's not practical
to buffer as I suggested,there is no neccessity and not practical given the
power level(signal conditioning).If you want to minimise distortion one would design optimally at the preamp stage with regards noise and signal integrety.But given the nature of chip amps again you have to accept the IC amp in its entirety good or bad. singa
