see it at local ads ,, i want to know whether the sound is good or whether the speaker is fake (driver had been replaced)
I would not pay more than $10-20 for it. The mid is the best bit, the woofer could be used, but the tweeter and XO are not very good (XO is actually worse than that). The box should burn nicely
I started out with these drivers in 1975 (because that is what i could get)

What brand/model and drivers is it? Whenever I saw speakers with seemingly random driver locations that didn't jive with my understanding of such things just assumed it was all junk no matter how attractive they looked.
All Philips, AD8-something, the 4ish” midrange in a plastic cup (it is essentially the FR sans whizzer), and the AD0160 phenolic dome tweeter. I should still have a stack of them.
These were common diy fare in the early 70s (at least), the XOs were generic, and generically used. Many people slapped together boxes from their hand out enclosure/driver/sales book. https://frank.pocnet.net/other/Phil...onBook_BuildingHiFiSpeakerSystems_1970-10.pdf
Many more editions after this one, by the time i got to it, the AlNiCo had disappeared.
