Serious turntables aim towards sub 1Hz suspension resonance.
As there are too many wannabe tt designers unable to design a decent suspension, this has created a substantial market for external suspended platforms.

I have no reason to doubt what you wrote but I would like to understand why they do that. Even if you take 16Hz as the lower limit of excitation, 11Hz natural frequency would assure no amplification of the driving frequency. Another square root of two reduction of natural frequency assures attenuation at 16Hz and you are still at roughly 8 Hz.Serious turntables aim towards sub 1Hz suspension resonance.
